NEW Village of PortWenn (Isaac) opens Doc Martin tv series

real life filming location recreated...virtually 

 Although the fair and hut season is over at Old Europe until March much has been going on
at the connected sim of Sunrise High to prepare it for a build that got started because of the tv series
Doc Martin which captivates viewers with it's storyline of a surgeon at the Imperial hospital in london that develops a phobia to blood. To stay in his choosen profession that he himself admits"is the only thing I was any good at". Dr Martin Ellingham played by Martin Clunes applys for and takes a position as the GP in the small cornish fishing village of Port Isaac in the southwest of England. Port Isaac is re-named for the tv series as the fictional PortWenn and it isn't long before Doctor Martin Ellingham's abrupt and non-concilitory behavior clashes with the locals with many natives using the old doctor Sims that has died as a their example of top notch treatment and a Dr you could just make a appointment with or not and prattle on over a cup of tea. The wonderful scenic coast
and quaint village with the colorful character's that call it home and great character development
makes for a highly addictive entertaining series..So with addiction we needed a fix, not just when we could watch a episode or two,or three but something totally immersive so we built the village of PortWenn with the harbour,sections of the main street and of course the Doctors surgery that sits high on the hill with nice views of the ocean and the village below. The Virtual village of PortWenn is now open and we think is very complimentary to the Old Europe Village just over the bridge.
Now when people come to the many fairs hunts,live music events and daily dancing and many attractions at Old Europe Village they will have a completely new place to explore that has restraunts
dancing,and will develop it's own special attractions as time goes forward.We also like to inform visitors to Old Europe and PortWenn that there is the Safe Haven for Krafties location next to PortWenn where people can train ,work and shelter their Krafties. Below is a great article about the new PortWenn (Isaac) by CNN iReporter Janey Bracken who has visited the real life location...
